Pine Tar Rage debuts new single

Fellow rock and rollers of Carolina known as “Pine Tar Rage” have announced plans to release their new single on the Gypsy Farm record label.  The song, titled I’m Gonna Have a Good Time punches right out of the gate with fierce determination; hell bent in fact, on making the most of one evening.  Writer, singer, and guitarist Ed Campbell declares, “This is about someone who’s been working two months straight without a day off.  They’ve saved up their money, stock piled their drugs only to get the flu that day…. but they’re gonna have a real good time, whether they like it or not.”

Ed, who is also known throughout the region for his bluegrass group “The Drovers Old Time Medicine Show” (formed over 30 years ago) says he’s “a rocker at heart” and that PTR serves as “an outlet for the rowdier compositions requiring more electricity” – although some songs inevitably cross over between the two bands such as last Summer’s “I Got a Headlight Out”.

Campbell is joined by lead guitarist Brant Duncan of Clemson area folk duo “The Elegance, bassist Jeff Barrett of Central’s “Wheeler, and drummer Zeke Sayer of Georgia-based band “The Humms.

GF Studio Salutations

GYPSY FARM HALLWAY

While reflecting on the sessions that took place throughout the year (and those booked into December) – we find ourselves overflowing with excitement and much anticipation in seeing those projects unleashed in 2016.

From Bluegrass to Rap to suspenseful film scoring and everything in-between, It’s been a busy year for the rural based recording studio located in North-Eastern Georgia.

“We aim to keep plugged in, warmed up and ready to mix into the new season.” said WJAY, chief engineer.

Thank you to all who visited with GFR in 200015, before and beyond.

For more information on Gypsy Farm’s extremely fair rates for technical audio assistance with multi-track, overdubbing and/or mixing your project in-house or on-location, be sure and check out the studio page or contact us!
