After several years of negotiation with the group’s home label and representation (Guttersville Records / Galloping Ghost Music) we at Gypsy Farm are pleased to announce the unleashing of a sophomore effort by Anderson, South Carolina’s most beloved urban punk rockers “Friday Night Cat Fights”.
The brand new release titled “Let It Ride” features 6 tracks off of their debut album reel recorded in 2015 at GF. Unfortunately, the record was indefinitely shelved after the group disbanded during that same year.
F.N.C.F eventually debuted via Gypsy Farm Records in early 2018 – albeit posthumously with their EP “Rinse and Repeat“.
This most recent collection features a tune penned by group bassist Jason Hannold called “Jay’s Tune” and is choc-full of the same raw rock and roll tunes that forced the unfortunate listener to fall head over hell in love with the group way back in 2015 – even featuring a vocal accompaniment by Brandon King of The Beltoneans.
“Friday nights carry a spirit of freedom, a break from the daily grind. For some, Friday nights are a shot at love — for others a taste of excitement. No matter how many rotations around the sun you’ve witnessed — the spirit always comes back to reconnect you with the feeling of running on all cylinders.
Friday night is your night and these are your cat fighters! Will you open up your heart and let the magic in? Songs and stories written for you — by you.”
