Proceeds of Gypsy Farm’s latest release, GF012 – Tape Feed, Vol 1, have secured over 1,146 meals through donations to Feeding America, a nonprofit organization networking with around 200 Food Banks throughout the United States.
This of course, was made possible, not only by Feeding America’s excellent farmer-food bank relationship, but by you, the listener. Thank you for your support!

With a digital version included, the tape is currently available & proceeds of all purchases will be donated to Feeding America!
Taken from their most recent album Vampire Hours, the Humms submit a change of weather with the strikingly somber tune, Forward Cue.
GF manager and confidant, W.JAY undertook the task of compiling over a decade’s worth of footage, packed into the song’s 3:23 window.
Of the notable clips included, viewers may recognize several blasts from the past including the band’s infamous practice trailer, where several early works were tracked, such as 2008’s Talking To A Ghost.
After last year’s successful donation to the local food bank, we staffed our producer Willie Shears with the task of assembling years worth of various recordings from deep within the Gypsy Farm vault into a tangible compilation for your enjoyment but also, the benefit of Feeding America, a nonprofit organization networking with 200 food banks.
The result is Tape Feed, Vol: 1. Each limited edition cassette is a direct, real-time copy of the original hi-fee-fi-fo-fum master recordings and even include a digital download to boot.
With appearances by Old Smokey, Vincas, Nate & the Nightmares, the Humms, Sea of Dogs, Sweet Auburn String Band, 432 Sessions, Pine Tar Rage, Koko Beware & the Haunted Head.
Shears’ selection of GF recordings span a whole decade from 2010 through 2020, and all in all recorded at GF-HQ with the exception of Nate & The Nightmares – Everyday recorded live at Georgia theatre in 2014 while opening for Charles Bradley.
With exclusive tracks like Vincas – Phantasma (Live at Gypsy Farm) and the traditional bluegrass arrangements of 432 sessions – Buffalo Skinners (Jed & Harry Clark, Cory Walker & Jeff Partin) you can rest assured that it’s going to be an eclectic sum of tracks.

Taken from a full performance back in September, The Humms belt out their song “PGP” live before a ghostly studio audience at the Shoal Creek Country Music Park in Lavonia, GA.
The song is from their most recent album, Vampire Hours, released last fall on Gypsy Farm Records.
Psych-trippers and all-around-down to hang out in your garage, The Humms have just released a brand-new video for their song titled Blue Bite and let me be the first to say that I’m not sure what to make of the song, much less the video.
The tune comes from their Vampire Hours album, released on vinyl by Gypsy Farm last fall and the “M.A.S.H. on acid” type atmosphere within this accompanying video is reminiscent of my long lost youth, attempting to fine-tune our television antenna that stretched up beyond the heavens.
The headache induced by this music video is not unlike that old picture on our beloved Zenith set.
But alas, this video showcases the band’s ever-widening, multi-genre court of noise, to be polite. It was produced by Gypsy Farm subsidiary, KLEM productions.
NPR’s John Slights says “It’s not everyday an album containing psychedelic folk, sludge rock, and 60’s style surf rock inspired tunes comes along, but ‘Vampire Hours’ is exactly that. In many ways, it’s a throwback album that still manages to look to the future.” – (Athens News Matters)

Directed by WJAY and shot within the Shoal Creek Music Park, this selection features the Southern-fried, psychedelia imagery that is synonymous with the group, and their latest music video comes off the release of sophomore effort, “Vampire Hours” released this past Tuesday.

Long-time correspondent and GF recording artist, Garett Hatch (Mother The Car, Nate & The Nightmares, Ancient Ethel) delighted us earlier this year with the sudden release of his first solo album, “Place Without a Name” conceived, written and recorded while under quarantine in Asheville.

In other GF news, today marks the official release of The Humms‘ long-awaited sophomore album, titled “Vampire Hours”.
This new record comes a little later than a full decade from their 2010 international debut, “Lemonland”, released on Bachelor Records and Odd Box.

The show, hosted by Matthew Suwalski, and produced by Atlanta, GA’s NetfreqTV, is called Freq Out and will feature new material from The Humms off of their forthcoming album, Vampire Hours (GF011) as well as their first ‘public’ performance since 2013.

Despite the valid plea of longtime acquaintances to just “leave the corpse buried”, the official announcement came via the Humms’ website after a lone image appeared, revealing the album cover of a forthcoming record, Vampire Hours.
